Analysis of Private Tutoring and Educational Track Relationship

The modern education system is undergoing strong changes. There are new educational services and new markets for educational services. One of such markets is the market of private tutoring. The aim of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the educational track and the probability of having a private tutor to prepare for the USE (United State Exam). Using the data of the first three waves of the national monitoring "Trajectories in Education and Careers" (2012-2014) probit models were constructed and marginal effects were estimated. The study confirms the existence of differences patterns of private tutoring consumption for the preparation for the USE for different subjects.
