Legal Regulation of Citizen’s Bankruptcy

The main purpose of the bankruptcy procedure is to restore the citizen's solvency and repay debts to his creditors. So, a clearly established mechanism of this procedure is required. At the same time, it is necessary to protect the rights of not only creditors, but also citizens. The research studies legislation and law enforcement practice in the sphere of private bankruptcy in order to detect topical issues of legal regulation of these relations.. The positions of authoritative scientists, as well as the court practice, are applied. On the basis of comprehensive research, the author concludes that, despite the relatively effective application of the institution of the citizen’s bankruptcy in the Russian Federation, it is necessary to modernize some legal norms.
