Benchmarking of Practices of Domestic Tourism Development in Towns of France

This thesis is devoted to a question of a benchmarking of internal tourism in towns of France In the first part of the thesis there is the review of the book sources used in the research. The level of development of internal tourism in France and structure of management of the industry at the state level is studied as well. In the second part of the thesis the classical theory of a benchmarking, its use in the tourism industries and also emergence of the concept "tourist benchmarking" is studied. The plan for a tourist benchmarking of a destination - the city of Angers has been developed. In the third chapter factors of development of tourism in Angers are investigated and also the separate organizations are considered: tourist office, hotels, exhibiton halls, museums. The web analytics of the websites and the analysis of social networks of the companies which are engaged in tourism are also presented. Workers of these organisations: tourist office of Angers, Museum of arts of Angers, Angers Lock, Best Western Hotel, Mercure Hotel, has been interviewed The volume of the thesis is: 116 pages; 19861 words.
