The Improvement of Procurement System in Oil and Gas Company

Procurement plays an important role in the activities of each company and gradually turns from an operational function into a strategic one. Companies are interested in carrying out optimization activities in this area and implementing initiatives that reduce procurement costs. Effective supply chain management is one of the key factors in reducing risks and costs at all levels of the supply chain. The aim of the work is to develop general recommendations and to find the most effective instrument for improving the procurement system of an oil company, taking into account the specifics and specific features of its industry. In the course of the work, various approaches to improving the procurement process in the company will be considered. In addition, the study will be complemented by an analysis of best practices and peer reviews in the area of procurement and supply chain management. The practical significance of the research is that on the basis of the theoretical provisions of the work, specific methodological recommendations have been developed for the management of logistics systems in the industry in question, relating to determining the optimal procurement system of the company and taking into account the factors influencing its selection, as well as the most effective models and management tools within the selected procurement system.
