Education as a Signal in the Russian Labor Market

Master's thesis is devoted to the signal role of education in the Russian labor market. The main purpose of the study is to test the hypothesis of the role of education in the period of economic crisis: how does the role of education change in hiring process, whether this factor becomes more significant during the economic recession that began in Russia in 2014. The empirical analysis is based on the data of the waves of 2012-2016 years of RLMS.
