Educational Programme: Economics (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2018

During three years of functioning of the Eurasian Economic Union, experts and representatives of different countries have repeatedly expressed their doubts about the prospects for its development. For a period of time, enough information has been accumulated, allowing one to argue how profitable it is for countries to either participate or not in the Union. In that sense, it is vital to mention that the EAEU still manages to show its potential within the FTZ, to be more exact, with a country like Vietnam. Moreover, in three years an expansion of trade with the Islamic Republic of Iran is highly expected. The purpose of this work is to assess the potential of the partnership with the Eurasian Economic Union, which includes the following aims: to investigate the EAEU in accordance with the prerequisites for successful integration, to analyze the state of the market for four freedoms, to identify the key economic activities of each country, to identify their competitive advantages, to study the experience of cooperation with the Union, third countries, macroeconomic indicators of states, as well as to conduct an econometric study based on the collected material. In the course of the work, the competitive advantages of the EAEU member countries were revealed, their market specialization was determined, and macroeconomic indicators affecting the export volumes of the countries' parties to the market of the "Eurasian Five" were analyzed.
