The object of our research paper is interpretation of the writer’s idiostyle. The subject of the research paper is interpretation of the poet’s idiostyle in the systemic analysis of the original and its translated version. The chief goal of our research paper is to show that interpretation of idiostyle helps a translator to recreate adequately main features of the original version while translating taking effective translation decisions and not substituting the translator’s own ideostyle for the poet’s idiostyle. The main goal necessitates the following list of objectives: 1) to find out which methods can be effectively used when analyzing the writer’s ideostyle, 2) to determine what text characteristics should be taken into consideration when interpreting the poet’s ideostyle, and to develop the systemic approach to the analysis of the original and its translated version from the perspective of practical needs of the translator, and 3) to single out challenges which the translator may face while recreating idiostyle of the poet in the target language, and to determine what strategies the translator may use to overcome these challenges. The hypothesis of our research is that translation decisions are determined by interpretation of semantic and structural peculiarities of the original version that compose idiostyle of the poet while objectiveness of translation decisions and recreation of idiostyle in the translated version without its substitution of the translator’s idiostyle are determined by the profoundness of interpretation of the source text ideostyle.
