The master's dissertation presents the results of a study devoted to the description of the situation of migrant children in Moscow and the Moscow Region and the activities of non-state integration centers. The work is divided into two parts: the first theoretical block, describing the existing theoretical framework, allowing to conceptualize the problem field, and a practical block in which the results of field research are presented. There are also a description of the legal aspect related to the enrollment of migrant children in school, as well as the history of migrant children in the Russian school. The work describes private attempts to create centers of adaptation and integration for migrant children, and a result of evaluating their effectiveness. The author analyzes the practices existing in the centers, describes the main difficulties that arise between the children themselves and the teachers. In addition to describing the Russian context, the text of the work also provides examples of existing strategies for the adaptation of migrant children in European countries, in which the state takes an active position in addressing this problem.
