With the development of school education in recent years, there is an increasing interest in the topic of educational success for schoolchildren. Foreign studies have demonstrated the importance of various aspects of the social environment (friends, classmates, etc.), as well as the importance of social status for the formation of students' academic success.

Nevertheless, for the more detailed understanding of what factors affect the educational achievements of schoolchildren, a consistent analysis of factors listed above is not enough. Characteristics of participation in extracurricular activities such as diversity and duration are also necessary. In this study, the impact of the diversity of extracurricular activities on educational success will be explored and the effect of the duration of involvement in extracurricular activities during the course of schooling will be considered. The main goal of the study is to identify what factors mentioned above are positively or negatively associated with a better school performance of children. Both qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection are used.
