Structure of Motives Encouraging Young People in St. Petersburg to Take or Refuse Taking Opioids

Despite the fact that opioids are dangerous and mostly stigmatized among other drugs, adolescents in Saint-Petesburg still use it. The aim of the study is to find out barriers and facilitators of hard drug use among adolescent . The project is based on life history interviews with 14 hard drug users. The motivation of first metadone of heroin try is based on the desire to understand the feelings of a partner/friend. The motivation for the subsequent consumption is the desire to understand the "buzz", the psychological state, free access to drugs. Refuse of hand drug use is often due to lifestyle, failured expectations about the drug and a number of fears, such as fear of physical dependence.
