Developing Laboratory Work for Demand Prognosis a Certain Types of Goods and Services based on Data from Social Networks

This paper is directed on “Developing Laboratory Work for Demand Prognosis a Certain Types of Goods and Services based on Data from Social Networks”. The objective of the laboratory work is to master a tool for a bid data analysis – IBM Watson Content Analytics – to solve a specific marketing problem of demand forecasting. This work is relevant for those who want to solve marketing planning problem using big data technologies excluding programming. The studied ob-ject is social networks users. The subject of the study is an approach to fore-cast the demand on products. The main objective of research is to develop the methodological guide-lines on demand forecasting using reliable data from the web. This paper is divided into three parts. The first chapter consists of basic concepts of marketing problem in targeting the audience. The second one de-scribes the system’s architecture of collecting and analyzing data. The last chapter shows the practical use of IBM Watson Content Analytics. The results are reported in in narrow text, table and graphical views and presented in the form of instructions. The initial data for the laboratory work is prepared and shared for practical use. The text of the laboratory work is placed in Appendix 2.
