Analysis of Weather Forecasting Efficiency in Our Region Based on Global Informational Systems of Meteorological Services

This research is devoted to the forecast accuracy derermitation of temperature extremums (maximum and minimum) in Nizhny Novgorod. Thus, there is a statistical estimation (R-square) of the temperature forecast quality. It was calculated for three seasons and six sizes of prediction: from 1 to 6 days in advance. The results allow to quantify the forecast accuracy by various criteria and it provides the opportunity to choose the most accurate information meteorological system.
