Web Application "Visual Reference Manager"

This paper is dedicated to developing Web-application “Visual reference manager”.

In this work, we present architectural solutions for api design, developing and deploying frontend and backend, interaction with Google Scholar for publications search. Besides, we discuss work with WebSockets for organizing events handling and HTTPS for ensuring safe connection.

The aim of this work was to develop a tool for managing reference, and scripts for installing and updating product on the server. We choose Python and JavaScript languages for developing. For Backend we used Django framework, and for Frontend we used Angular.JS framework.

In result of this work, we developed and deployed on virtual server an application to work with bibliography depending on project researcher working. It is achieved by using graphs to visualize connections between papers.

This paper contains 40 pages, 3 chapters, 19 illustrations, 2 tables, 9 schemes, 25 bibliography items, 4 appendices.
