Measurement of the quality of life is one of the most urgent problems for social researchers today: there is a special interest in creation of a complex quality of life model, that includes both subjective and objective indicators, affecting quality of life on several levels. In this paper, an attempt is made to construct a two-level model of the quality of life, taking into account the parameters measured on the individual level (socio-demographic characteristics) and on the country level (macro-indicators), affecting differentiation of quality of life at the declared levels. This analysis is based on the European Quality of Life Survey 2011-2015. The main result of this work is the identification of a significant differentiation of the quality of life, depending on the region of Europe the country belongs to, as well as the significant relationship between the level of education, income and psychological health and the quality of life. In addition, the necessity of further research with the purpose of revealing additional factors of differentiation of the quality of life.
