This study was undertaken to investigate some dynamic processes of altar consecrations’ spreading in rural parts of Novgorod Land. Due to the sourses’ specifity the temporal frame of this survey is 1495 – 1629. Precisely this period was special for history of Novgorod region. At the end of the 15th century Novgorod republic has lost its independence and it was attached to Moscow. Old social structure which took place in Novgorod was destroyed. All significant social institutes (mainly «boyarstvo») have lost their privileges. Thus, old nobilities have lost their lands and they were shifted by new service military class. New social group have changed social structure, because they have formed a new type of landowning – manor. This survey examines connection between military service class and dynamic process of new altar consecrations appearance. This process of interaction, in particular temporal dynamic of new consecrations appearance, is shown with help of geo-informational system Google Earth. Via this system consecrations can be observed not only in temporal dynamic but also in territorial aspect. The first part of this paper is focused on the historical context of new military service class of Novgorod Land and its territorial administrative features. The second chapter is devoted to specificity of altar consecrations in Novgorod Land and their connection with military service class and manors as a new territorial definition. The third part of this survey has a practical character. Altar consecrations have been related with modern map. It helps to visualize processes of churches appearance.
