In this paper, the factors that forms the attitude towards the family in men in Europe are highlighted. Despite the fact that there are a lot of gender studies in the sociological literature, few of them are devoted to the study of men in a comparative perspective. Many theories in the feminist paradigm state that the family still retains patriarchal values that support the commodification and control of female sexuality and reproductive capacity, particularly of men. In this paper, I use the factor analysis to identify the main components of the relationship of men to the family. Multilevel regression modeling allows us to conclude that the younger generation supports equal partnership in marriage. Using the randomization of the slopes of the regression lines for countries in Europe, it is shown that the effect of age on the formation of attitudes toward the family differs from country to country. It is statistically proved that there are no significant differences between the sexes in relation to and support of family values.
