Conflict of Interests and Strategic Ignorance: the Case of Medical Students in Russia

We study doctors' behavior in case of a possible conflict of interests. We conduct the Dana, Weber, and Kuang's (2007) hidden information treatment with a medical framing and repetitions. We compare the behavior of medical subjects and non-medical subjects and test how thier behavior changes over time. We did not find a significant difference in the behavior of the medical subjects and non-medical subjects. Also, we did not find significant changes in their behavior over time. We found a considerable proportions of medical and non-medical subjects with suboptimal behavior.
