Psychoanalytical Approach to Financial Decision-Making on the Example of the Millennials

In this thesis we address the topic of intergenerational differences in its important aspect related to the conditionality of financial decisions and apply psychoanalytic approach to its analysis. The study explores the relationship between the personal and behavioral characteristics of the Y generation and their approaches to financial decision making, including in comparison with the X generation. The work analyzes and confirms the hypotheses concerning the difference of representatives of generation Y from their predecessors (generation X) by a set of value orientations and the degree of narcissism, these differences determine the difference in approaches to financial decision-making
