This project-analytical work is aimed at the development of the concept of the Project Management Office (PMO) in the FMCG sphere by reference to the Russian division of the international company Reckitt Benckiser. The main trends of FMCG industry development and its characteristics that can be considered as prerequisites for the creation of PMO are revealed. A literature review and study of practices for the creation of a project management office were conducted, several typologies and functional purposes of the PMO were analyzed, stages of development of its life cycle were examined, and several metrics were determined to assess the effectiveness of the office. This gave an understanding that in order to create an effective concept of PMO, it is necessary to define and correlate its type, functions, and stages of development and methods of evaluating its activities. Further, based on the internal and external analysis of the company Reckitt Benckiser five important prerequisites for the creation of PMO were identified. Thanks to the conducted questionnaire survey of employees, the practical importance of the development and implementation of the PMO concept for the company was confirmed. In accordance with the data studied, the concept of PMO has been developed, in which main tasks are: reduction of the level of non-compliance with the terms and budget of the project to 15%, the formation of databases and standardized regulations to simplify the implementation of projects; maintenance of effective communication process. In conclusion, practical recommendations are given for PMO concept integration and communication work which should be held for Reckitt Benckiser company.
