Strategy of an Exit of the Russia Company to the New Foreign Market

Thesis work identifies the external and internal factors that interfere with the strategy of the entry of the Russian media holding "Gazprom Media" to the foreign market, methods by means of which the media holding is capable to strengthen the international relation and financial position are analyzed and developed, the strategic action plan for positional strengthening and improvement in the Chinese market is offered. A research purpose is the determination of the strategy of entry to the new foreign market and provision of advice relating to its implementation to “Gazprom Media” company. The thesis analyses the world media market and the foreign market for which an entry is planned, the competitive analysis of the industry and internal opportunities is carried out, problems the company can face in case of strategy implementation with the use of means of PEST – analysis, SNW – analysis, the 5 Forces Model of Porter and an interview with experts are revealed. The media holding environmental analysis on internal reports materials of the available on the company official site and an interview with experts and employees determine the strategy of an entry into the Chinese market. In addition, internal documents of the company will help to analyze their experience of an entry into foreign markets, namely to the CIS countries. The researchers conducted by the international consulting company PwC are used for entertainment and media industry global trends determination. Based thereon possibilities of the company, their purpose, a task and a mission will be determined in the project. The capital and time cost determination for testing means, the entry into the market and the market position consolidation will help to constitute the successful implementation plan of the strategy. “Gazprom Media” planned cooperation with the Chinese media companies will have a positive impact on the international market holding position strengthening and its status and authority enhancing.
