At the moment professional cybersports is one of the fastest-growing global markets. Numbers of on- and off-line spectators of e-sports tournaments and events are significantly increasing over the years – a statistics that serves as a trigger for big companies to enter the market. Cybersports events are now regarded as a marketing tool and a means to communicate with potential customers. With the investments growing came the understanding that proper management, especially risk management, is crucial for corporate benefits: threat realization is too expensive for brands involved. A lack of scientific knowledge can be observed in event management field. Risk management relies mostly on prior experience of the team rather than on proactive planning. This paper creates a guideline for risk management of cybersports events by reference to «Epicenter DOTA2» regular tournament by «Epic Esports Events», thus covering the blind spots of risk management in events.
