Assessment of Management Effectiveness in Nonprofit Organizations

NPOs are an integral part of modern market economy, but they have a somewhat different mechanism of management and management in comparison with commercial organizations. Currently, the issue of improving the effectiveness of NPO management in connection with the conditions for the transition to new economic relations is urgent. All this determines the choice of the direction of research, the theoretical significance of the results. The purpose of the study was to assess the effectiveness of management of non-profit organizations. The paper considers the NPO as an object of management, the methodological foundations of NPO management are analyzed; a comparative analysis of the effective functioning of NPOs in Russia and abroad; a comparative analysis of the methods and principles of NPO management in Russia and in foreign countries; the management of NPO activities in the Moscow Region was analyzed; diagnostics of the main problems in the management of non-profit organizations; developed a comprehensive program to improve the management of NPOs in the Moscow region; The formation of a method of strategic management analysis for NPOs has been studied. In the course of the work, monographic, comparative, sociological, system analysis, abstract-logical, economic-statistical research methods were applied. The practical significance of the study is that the developed provisions provide a theoretical and practical basis for improving the management of NPOs with application of principles and methods of effective management.
