Teaching Negotiation Skills to Bachelor Students

The process of globalization is one of the tendencies of the modern world. It has an influence on education, which is being conformed to the demands of the modern world community. Graduate students will work in international multicultural environment, where cross-cultural competence, which is interpreted as “multilanguage and multiculturalism” (language proficiency and knowledge of the second foreign language, understanding of the cultural context of a partner country and specifics of the operations in the foreign countries), is highly demanded competence among employers The objective of the study was to design a fragment of a course on business negotiations in English language for third- and four-year bachelor students, who major in “Linguistics”. Chapter one examines and analyzes business negotiations as one of the types of business communication, defines learning objectives and teaching content based on theoretical work material. Chapter two introduces communication model of negotiator and a system of methods and techniques for teaching business negotiations. In addition to that, the field-testing of the fragments of a lesson was conducted among second-year bachelor students, who major In Linguistics.
