Reproductive health makes a decisive role in the ability to conceive, carry and give birth to a healthy child. The state of reproductive health depends on many factors, including the individual behavior of a woman, which can harm or promote a normal state of reproductive health. This work is dedicated to the study of practices and the identification of behavioral strategies of Russian women aimed at maintaining or losing reproductive health. Within the framework statistical analysis of behavioral practices of women was carried out depending on their age (age groups 20-25, 26-30, 31-35 years were considered), reproductive intentions, and also such characteristics as type of region of residence, level education and social status. The analysis was carried out according to the All-Russian Reproductive Health Survey (2011). These data provide unique information about the behavior of women concerning various areas of reproductive health, such as contraceptive, abortive, sexual behavior and medical activity. The conducted research made it possible to identify the behavioral practices of women, categorize them in terms of harm and benefit to reproductive health and also to assess their prevalence. The main conclusions about women's behavioral strategies relate to their age and reproductive intentions. Strategies of the youngest girls (20-25 years) differ from girls of older ages (26-35 years). Their sexual and contraceptive behaviors are more risky, they are less responsible for pregnancy planning but otherwise are also more likely to focus on reproductive health. As for the differences in reproductive intentions they do not divide women into caring and not caring about their reproductive health - both of them are more focused on preserving their reproductive health, but they use different strategies for this.
