This work is devoted to studying the forms of employment of Moscow rock musicians, different from creative activity. The development of the Internet has changed the music industry. It is believed that young artists are now more difficult to earn, but it is easier to find fans. Within the framework of the research, a series of semi-structured interviews were conducted, in which rock musicians told about their creative activity, other forms of employment and professional plans. The dependence between various factors (attitude to musical education, genre, compositional inclinations) and the choice of employment for earnings was revealed.
