In this study, an analysis of the sociolinguistic specificity of American slang was made in gender and age aspects. Frequency analysis of the features of slang was carried out on the phonetic, derivational, lexicological and syntactic levels of the language, which made it possible to identify similarities and differences in the use of slang of different groups.
