Approaches to the Mutual Funds Ratings Formation

The research provided into this project suggests the approach to construct the rating for mutual funds based on the widespread Morningstar methodology, its extension by way of the multifactorial Carhart model, and not so common for mutual funds sphere a discrete choice model. As long as the first two stages mainly cover the methods for the rating construction, the last one allows estimating the rating influence on the investors’ decision making procedure and total welfare.
