Representation of the Contemporary Military-Political Situation on the Korean Peninsula in the Russian and Americal Foreign Policy Discourse

Master's thesis is aimed at analyzing representation of military-political situation on the Korean peninsula in Russian and American foreign policy discourses. As a part of the study 669 official publications of years 2016-2017 present on the websites of foreign policy departments and heads of states have been analyzed. Theo van Leeuwen’s discursive theory of representing social actors were used as the main theoretic source. Quantitative content analysis was used to determine collocations with high frequency, while qualitative content analysis – to identify the main ways of representing states values, the situation and the states.
