The purpose of this research work is to identify modern methods of MSW disposal, potentially applicable in the Moscow agglomeration to solve existing problems of waste disposal. The subject of the study is the application of the best practices of MSW management in the Moscow agglomeration. Research questions: • How is a waste management system designed in large cities which have zero waste as a purpose? • Which waste management system has the potential to be introduced Moscow? The situation in Moscow and the experience of Paris and New York
