Space and Time in the Novel of A. Gide "The Counterfeiters"

The “The Counterfeiters” is the only novel of Andre Gide which reflected his unique aesthetic position and accumulated writing discoveries of the first half of 20th century. The multidimensional structure of text with novel-in-novel genre, omniscient narrator and inverted time and space level leaves many possibilities for interpretations. In this work using the Christensen and Lotman metafiction and geographical theories the complication of time and space in the novel would be examined.
