Representation of Key Artistic Concepts of the American Culture in the Novel "An American Tragedy" by Theodore Dreiser

The aim of this study is to reveal key national American concepts and to show in what categories they are implemented in the novel "An American Tragedy" by T. Dreiser. In the first chapter theoretical aspects of "concept" and "conceptual sphere" as well as a methodology of conceptual analysis have been explored. In the second chapter key national American concepts have been revealed and a model of relevance of the key cultural concepts and their interaction was built. Third chapter is dedicated to the analysis of of the key American concepts within the context of the novel according to the linguacultural approach.
