The Main Problems of Translation of Works of Literature by Sergei Dovlatov

The present paper A Research Proposal on the Problem of Translation is an attempt to disclose the new trends in translation research and to present a research proposal built on the problems in translation especially from Russian into English. Here the Dovlatov's novels from Russian are taken into consideration which is translated into English as subject to prepare a research proposal. The translation of works of modern literature into foreign languages has always been the subject of some contradictory discussions under the linguistic and literature. Based on this, we can formulate the aim of our study: the analysis of the special aspects of the possible problems encountered in overcoming language barriers and the intercultural translatability of meaning represented by culturally appropriate information in terms of representatives of culture of the original text and translation.
