Factors Affecting Consumers Behaviour in Russia

This paper presents the theoretical and empirical analysis of the various determinants affecting the saving rate of domestic households as the share of disposable income. The first part of the study explains what factors are recognized significant in other works on the similar themes. The research is based on the cross-sectional data from the all 85 subject of the Russian Federation for the period 2014-2016. The results imply, that such factors as average income, average pension, level of social benefits, share of working population, rate of urbanization, insurance payments and income of regional budget have a notable correlation with saving rate, while other variables remain insignificant.
