Due to recent large fluctuations in Russia’s economic stability during last five years, the migration patterns, which could be significantly affected, have not been analyzed properly. This work aims to provide a particular analysis on the migration among university teachers who have Western-level education level. The basis for evaluation is the exchange rates fluctuations. However, other, more specific factors are analyzed in this research, too. In my work, I present two models of migration behavior. Starting with a proper migration flow model, more variables are added to check for significance and as a result of the work, I find the most relevant factors affecting migration pattern of academics.
