Sample online articles from each newspaper were selected and these selected articles were content analyzed in order to identify the frames and sources used in media news coverage about these crises. The results of the study show that there is a significant difference between two sources under study. This study reveals that Sputnik mostly utilized pro-Russian sources and frames which emphasize the ties with Crimea, delegitimize the new Kiev government and its actions regarding the Donbass region, and to justify Russian policies and actions; whereas The Moscow Times' use of frames and sources were more balanced.
