The relevance of the chosen research topic is primarily due to the need to find new development options for Russian metallurgical companies, whose natural growth has slowed in recent years. The object of the research is Russian metallurgical companies. The subject of the work is the process of using a logistic controlling system at Russian metallurgical enterprises. The goal is to analyze the process of improving the logistics control system of a metallurgical company. Objectives: analysis of current trends in the market of non-ferrous metallurgy; description of key indicators of the effectiveness of non-ferrous metallurgy; the current state of the logistics control systems of the Russian metallurgical companies; development of theoretical approaches to the design of logistic controlling systems; development of approaches to the diagnosis of logistics controlling systems; analysis of the logistics control improvement algorithm; evaluation of the implementation of modern controlling; analysis of the business scheme of UC RUSAL; proposing methods for improving controlling of the UC RUSAL; assessment of the cost-effectiveness of the proposed activities. The first chapter of the thesis is devoted to studying the process of improving the logistic controlling system of a metallurgical company. The analysis of modern market trends and indicators of non-ferrous metallurgy efficiency revealed that many Russian companies understand controlling only as an operational accounting, which prevents the complex development and entry of organizations to a new level of controllability. In the UC RUSAL, control over logistic processes is somehow implemented, but in the absence of channels for receiving feedback in detail it is difficult to predict the development of the logistics sector. In conclusion, general conclusions are drawn from the results of the research, brief descriptions of the work carried out by the author in the first, second and third chapters are given.
