The Development of a Professional Learning Community as an Effective Instrument of a Teachers’ Professional Advancement
Education Administration
(Master’s programme)
2019
Currently, there is a search for ways to implement the idea and the national concept of teacher growth. Relevant is the search for mechanisms and methods of teaching adult students, teachers who already have experience. PLC is an effective tool for professional development of teachers, improves the quality of the lesson and the effectiveness of teaching students.

For the first time in Russian and foreign practice, the formation of a professional community of learning at school was carried out using curatorial techniques, as well as for the first time these techniques were introduced in the preschool Department (kindergarten).

As the main results of the study are: "System of formation of professional learning community"; "working notebook of the curator" and the scheme of involvement of the Director in the formation of PLC; guidelines for pre-school Department; electronic resource with materials for training, developed local acts regulating the activities of curatorial groups.

During the formation of PLC it was revealed that from the point of view of resources, this process is time-consuming, requiring mandatory control by the Director or coordinator; effective when working with young professionals, teachers who have a break in work, is an effective tool for professional development; it should be borne in mind that different schools will react differently to the introduction of new practices.

The study has obvious prospects due to the lack of description of the experience of the formation of PLC and the introduction of curatorial techniques in preschool institutions, the use of this technique for the formation of PLC and the lack of research of the professional community of education in Russia.
