Pair Work as a Way of Managing the Professional Development of Young Teachers

Headmasters who seek to improve the quality of education in their organization are in search of effective methods and forms of professional development of teachers. This issue is particularly acute for young teachers in schools who are waiting for the employer to provide them with ways of development. One of these methods at present is the use of the school’s internal capital — the professional interaction of two teachers, i.e. work in pairs.

This paper examines theoretical approaches to the use of pair work for the professional development of teachers are examined in this research, as well as

assessment was made of the effectiveness of the pair work of young teachers in the institutions of secondary general education from the point of view of Russian and foreign sources,

the psychological component of the paired work of teachers, leading to their professional development, was concluded,

the process of applying the pair work of young teachers was described with the aim of their professional development in the practice of several schools of the Yaroslavl region, located in different territorial conditions,

methods for the study of pair work on the subject of its effectiveness were developed and proposed,

the analysis of the process of paired work of young teachers was carried out using various methods (observation, analysis of the protocols of visiting lessons, questioning survey participants and their supervisors), a detailed description of the results was given, taking into account the positive and negative aspects,

recommendations for school leaders for the successful implementation and organization of the methodology were given.
