Strategy of Consumer Behavior in the Natural Gas Market in the Conditions of its Liberalization

The master's thesis considers the question of determining the strategy of behavior of a large consumer company in the natural gas market in the conditions of its liberalization. The first Chapter of the work deals with the analysis of the evolution of the structure of natural gas markets and the emergence of grounds for changes. The estimation of the choice of the way of transformation on the example of foreign markets of natural gas is given. The comparative analysis was used to assess the trends in the development of the natural gas market in Russia and the possibility of its liberalization. In the second Chapter, the method of comparative analysis is used to assess the impact on the consumer of market participants ' strategies for its liberalization. In the third Chapter, based on the analysis of the business environment of the natural gas market, described in the first and second chapters, carried out by the "strategy Palette" method of the Boston Consulting Group Institute of strategies, the strategy of consumer behavior in the conditions of liberalization of the natural gas market is formed. As sources of information were used: - expert opinions and comments of market participants recorded in the media or other sources; - materials of specialized forums and conferences; - scientific literature on tools and business processes in the formation of strategies. Scientific novelty is provided by the method used by the author to choose the optimal strategy depending on the properties of the business environment in which the company operates. Scientific novelty also have the results and conclusions obtained in the course of this work. The results of the study allowed us to formulate a strategy for the behavior of a large consumer in the liberalization of the natural gas market.
