The work is devoted to assessment of the ecological education impact on urban territory environment quality. Concepts of ecological culture, ecological education, their interrelation and problems of formation in Russia are considered. The developed system of ecological education of Dubna science city and the sporadic system of ecological education of Verbilki settlement in Moscow region are analyzed. Dubna state university is a key kernel of formation of Dubna continuous prevailing ecological education system. University coordinates different types of activity in the field of ecological education in Dubna city and interaction with the partners who promote the development of this system.

Ecological focused opinion poll of residents of Dubna and Verbilki settlement are carried out and some key indicators of environment quality during 2009-2018 are also investigated. It is shown that with development of the ecological culture based on the municipal system of ecological education ecologically conscious behavior of inhabitants is formed and caused the improvement of municipal ecological situation.

On the example of Dubna ecological education system it is proved that ecoeducation system has to be continuous and prevailing, has to develop and get new types of activity among which summer ecological schools could be offered.
