The Design Model of Degree Programs in the System «Electronic University Bauman BMSTU»

ABSTRACT The scope of the current work is to develop a new model for design of educational programs in Federal state budgetary institution for higher professional education Bauman Moscow State Technical University (national research university of technology) for educational process management efficiency improvement and, as a consequence, improvement of the education quality due to the use of advanced digital technologies. All the constituents of the university main educational program as well as its development in one system are presented on the modelling level. An educational subject is taken as a design unit. The proposed model that is basically a unified system of educational programs and their constituents, allows increasing the mobility of all university sub-divisions that implement educational programs during the licensing, accreditation and other audits. Several computer-aided design products for educational programs development are investigated in this work. Among them are 1-C: University, АCAB, TANDEM, product of the MMIS laboratory, Galaktika, Electronic University Bauman MSTU. Pros and cons of these products are described. The missed elements that do not allow generating the necessary documents to support the educational process on the base of one-stop principle are defined. Based on the conducted analysis the product “Electronic University” Bauman MSTU is chosen as it satisfies the requirements for the educational program development most accurately.
