The Napoleonic Wars in the Coverage of "Herald of Europe" Magazine, Published by M.T. Kachenovsky

In the master's dissertation, the analysis of the most popular journal "Herald of Europe" of the first half of the XIX century, published by MT. Kachenovsky in the period 1805-1815. The paper analyzes the changes in the perception of the images of France and the emperor Napoleon in the designated period. The participation of Russia in the anti-French coalitions is considered, the interpretation of the events is given, the transformation of the ideas about Napoleonic wars is revealed; The parameters by which the images of a friend and an enemy were modeled (according to Kachenovsky) are determined; articles devoted to this topic are analyzed. Also, the degree of dependence of European states on France (based on the materials of the journal with the involvement of additional sources) was established, the struggle of countries against occupiers and their cooperation, changing priorities and accents were analyzed, and sources of information were analyzed.
