Determinants of Foreign Direct Investment in Regions of the Russian Federation

This work is an attempt to estimate the impact of different factors on the volume of foreign direct investment in the regions of the Russian Federation. Using the regression analysis, it become possible to find some regularities and draw conclusion about regional characteristics which stimulate the participation of investors in capital investments. Also, it become possible to find some parallels with studies of foreign direct investment factors between different countries. Using the results of this work, it is possible to make an inference about investment attractiveness of Russian regions for foreign investors.
