Entrances as Semi-private Urban Spaces: Logic of Using and Mechanisms of Control

This study aims to analyze the logic of use and mechanisms of control of entrance halls. The main aim of qualitative research is to determine the social meanings put in those actions. In the theoretical part of the work, the influence of architectural space on society is considered, and the main types of space are described from the point of view of the interaction of social actors. On the basis of observations and interviews, the main practices of mastering and controlling space, as well as communication practices and perception of space by the residents of the houses, are determined.
