Modes of Engaging in Tattooing among Students

Modes of involvement in tattoing – it is a formulation that indicates a step by step process of obtaining a tattoo by an individual, which includes: 1. The context of the application 2. Making a decision 3. The process of applying 4. Meaning and perception Society gradually developed, and with it changed the purpose of tattoos and modes of involvement. For example, tattoos have ceased to be something sacred: they began to appear on the face and on the hands and on the head. If in the past centuries tattoos reflected the status or were a mark on the human body, now tattooing involves both show business stars and politicians, and ordinary people. The main supposition of the work is to identify the main and most common modes of involvement in tattooing among the students of Moscow. As a result of the conducted qualitative research the existing modes of involvement in tattooing, the causes and stages of involvement and existing regulatory practices were identified. What is more, key aspects of tattooing among youth scenes and subcultures were analyzed.
