Development of a mobile health monitoring application

The topic of the present study is aimed at investigating the way of dealing with fitness tracker in order to implement a mobile application which will use data from the device such as heart rate measurements. These trackers are working by dint of BLE technology (Bluetooth Low Energy) and for now such devices are becoming more and more popular for health monitoring. The major issue is that usually only the manufacturer of the fitness tracker creates an application for health monitoring which supports some few sport activities. The idea of this work is to implement software for Android OS for tracking skiing activity. This paper describes the technologies, algorithms and architectural solutions used in the development of the application.
