Influence of the European Union on Institutional Transformations in Georgia and Armenia: Comparative Analysis

The research is devoted to the influence of the European Union on institutional transformations in Georgia and Armenia. The first Chapter of the study presents a review of scientific literature on the cases of Georgia and Armenia. The internal reforms, cooperation with the EU are analyzed and the factors that block the implementation of reforms in the States are shown. The second Chapter developed a theoretical framework for research based on the theories of the external governance and the good governance. The third Chapter clearly describes the methodology of the research. In the fourth Chapter the analysis by process – tracing method is carried out, the causal mechanism is presented, and the results of the analysis are revealed. In conclusion, the results of how the European Union influences on the institutional transformation in the States are summarized.
