An Analysis of the Financial Sustainability of Private Pension Funds

This paper aims to determine what is meant by the financial sustainability of a private pension fund, as well as how this sustainability can be assessed. During the paper, we used econometric analysis tools (principal component analysis and logit-model) to build a model and evaluate results. We believe that the most important factor in the financial sustainability of a private pension fund is sufficiency and capital structure, and some parameters of the investment portfolio. In addition, we reviewed the major milestones in the development of private pension coverage in order to better understand the specifics of how PPF operate.
