The Impact of CEO Characteristics on the Financial Performance of Russian Companies

The main purpose of this research is to analyze how CEO’s personality affects the company’s performance on the Russian market. The object of the study embraces personal characteristics of the CEOs of the largest public companies in Russia that could make an impact on firm’s financial performance metrics. The results show that CEO's tenure, level of education and previous working experience in public service positively affects the company's financial performance metrics, while CEO's age and participation on Board of Directors - negatively.
