Novelty Seeking in the State of Boredom as the Factor of Creativity

In this work, it is assumed that the mechanism of the influence of boredom on creativity is the state of search for novelty. The relevance and scientific novelty of the study lies in the need for a theoretical supplement of knowledge relating to the study of the consequences of boredom, the need for disclosing the mechanism of influence of the search for novelty in boredom on the criteria of creativity. The purpose of the study is to identify the relationship between changes in the indicators of creativity and the search for novelty in the context of boredom; describe the role of the search for novelty as a mediator of the influence of boredom on the performance of creativity. The hypothesis of the study is the assumption that the state of boredom, mediated by the state of search for novelty, has a positive effect on (increases) the indicators of creativity. The paper will conduct a scientific analysis of the phenomenon of the search for novelty as a motivational component of boredom, examines existing scientific works on the relationship of creativity and boredom.
